Lieutenant Eric Straub (ret.)

Eric was then hired by Monroe Township Police Department in Gloucester County in 1991 as a patrol officer. He graduated from Burlington County Police Academy class #60. While assigned to the patrol division he completed his bachelor of the arts degree in law justice graduating in 1995. Recognized for his work performance Eric was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Eric’s hard work and efforts were once again recognized as he was promoted to Sergeant in 2004 and again promoted to Lieutenant in 2009. Eric had been assigned to the patrol division and was the domestic violence coordinator and the court liaison coordinator. Unfortunately, Eric was involved in an on-duty motor vehicle accident that caused him to retire with 23 years of honorable service.
Eric has held numerous positions as an active member of the Monroe Twp FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) (Fraternal Order of Police) Lodge 125, including the negotiations committee, trustee, and past president.
In 2019, after an exhaustive selection process, Eric was hired as a staff representative for the FOPNJLC, where he represents numerous southern New Jersey bargaining units. Eric has completed the Rutgers Labor Relations Certificate Program, holds an Associated Degree from Gloucester County College and a bachelor’s degree in law and justice from Glassboro State College.
